Services

Polyclonal Antibody Production

We offer a custom Polyclonal Antibody Production Service in a range of species including rabbits, sheep and chickens. We have packages which incorporate a standard immunisation and bleeding schedule and are equally able to cater for customer specific protocols. All work is carried out according to IMVS Animal Ethics Committee Guidelines and Approval.

Monoclonal Antibody Production

Our custom Monoclonal Antibody Service (MAbSA) offers peptide design and conjugation, animal immunisation, fusions, cloning, production of antibodies in an in-vitro bioreactor system, affinity purification and antibody labelling.

Biological Products

We can supply whole blood and fresh or frozen serum and plasma in a range of quantities from animal species including sheep, goat, rabbit, rat, mouse, guinea pig, horse, chicken and other poultry. Other species may be available on request. We can also provide sterile filtered serum and defibrinated blood products for media production and a range of animal tissues and organs for research purposes. Many serum products are available from stock, but most products are produced fresh on request.

Laboratory Animals

The IMVS Veterinary Services Division supplies high quality rats, mice, guinea pigs and rabbits to the research community.

Murine Virus Monitoring Service

Much more than just virus antibody screening!

As well as conducting serological screening for a wide range of murine pathogens we offer pathology, bacteriology and parasitology for laboratory animals, PCR and RT-PCR detection of a wide range of pathogens, cell line and biological product screening, consultation on monitoring program design and information on all the nasties out there waiting to infect your animals.

Preclinical Services

We specialise in performing comprehensive, high quality safety and efficacy studies on investigational new drugs and devices, in accordance with international regulatory standards.

Large Animal Research and Imaging Facility (LARIF)

Provides a range of leading-edge imaging and general veterinary services

Australian Phenomics Network (APN)

Provides necropsy, digital imaging and histopathology diagnosis to Australian researchers.

Research

Are mobiles off the hook?

Mobile telephone use is increasing rapidly and, although these devices are held close to the head and the brain is exposed to relatively high specific absorption rates (SAR's) compared to the rest of the body, there is still some doubt as to whether mobile communication systems damage the central nervous system.
